One more shot of the Peace roses - my favorite of the roses.

 

My water lilies are blooming!  We are also down one koi.....not naming names, Luna!!  I think the koi were spawning - they were crazy jumping in the pond and the water was frothy and bubbly....and either one jumped out of the pond onto the lawn, or the dogs managed to grab one, but the results were the same - one koi gone.  Since I still have 6 koi, I'm not replacing it - which is a good thing.  The koi the size of mine cost $400 at Sunset Koi!!!  The dogs owe me big time!  I also invested in "shock collars" for them and set up a boundary by the pond.  

 

I had to stop working on my "big" quilts, and get at last one baby quilt done.  I need three by late July, two for little boys, and one unknown.  I like how the colors worked out on this one.

 

Some of the Spring flowers (and a tree) that are harbingers of summer!  The poppies are wild - growing out by the field behind the subdivision.

The sycamore tree is fully leafed out, and the hated balls are growing.  They look so pretty, but are such a pain to mow over!!

My succulents are blooming!

And I found a lady bug in one of my grasses out by the koi pond.

The yellow roses are blooming - the last of the roses to bloom.

 

One more quilting project done!  This became a wall hanging because I didn't know what else to do with it.  It's only 24 X 30 or so.

 

I had two yards of rock delivered a couple of weeks ago, and I got one project done!  I put new rock in the pool area (behind a fence/gate with barely enough room to move the wheelbarrow through!)  I like it a lot better than the lava rock that has been there forever....

 

It's summer time!!!  Well, at least pool time.  Sunday we went swimming - and the water wasn't cold at all!  It had been in the mid-90's all week, so the water had a chance to warm up.  We dropped back down to our more normal mid 80's this week.  

 

Here's an update on the chicken quilt - all the blocks are put together - now I "just" have to put the quilt top together.

 

And a new quilt started - a chicken quilt for Rachelle.....

 

Somebody just cannot resist the laundry basket with clean laundry.....

I left a crochet project out on the table one evening - bad idea!  

 

The "quilt" for my quilt club this month is a small wall hanging - about 20" X 30".  Here's the quilt top - now to get it quilted!  (The club meets this Saturday, so I have a deadline!!)

 

Allison got a new mattress last week, and the kittens got a new toy. I cut some holes in the box that the mattress came in and the kittens have been enjoying it ever since.
