Book Club was last week - the book - The Hunting Party - murder mystery, and pretty good.  This month, I made hand sanitizer holders and more masks of course.....

Here are the masks "in process" - I took in all that I had done - 12 or so???  I had sent three to Michelle, and came home with three - I think they like them....

This one didn't make it to book club.  It went to Carole, since she works for Majestic Oaks Winery.....

 

A quick little sewing project done!  I got the kit on clearance at Joann's a while back, and I wanted something quick to put together the other day.  

I think it turned out cute!  I have an idea of what to do with it now, so it will find a home, I'm sure.  I happen to know someone that likes chickens....

 

I upgraded the couch in the computer/sewing room - and Picot claimed it as her own....

 

I (finally) finished up a quilt - all that was needed was hand sewing the binding down, but....that just didn't happen.  I made myself get it started (always the hardest part) and finished it up last week.  I very carefully folded it up after it washing it - but then had to wash it again because I didn't put it away immediately!  Silly kitten! (And silly me for procrastinating....I know better!)

Picot is helping me do the final pressing on this quilt, too.  This is the wedding present for AJ's friends Jeff and Yessica.  I really like how it turned out.  It just needs to go to the quilters now.....

New project!  We had a waterline break in front of the house (out by the well) a couple of weeks ago, and ever since it was repaired, the toilet in the main bath ran constantly.  I'm guessing it got sediment in the float mechanism - the water level was way too high in the tank.  So, new job for me - plumber! (Not in my current job description, believe me!) 

I had to have AJ assist - I couldn't get the nut loose on the bottom of the tank.  After that though, with a couple of re-do's, it's done!  (First attempt, the water level was too low....darn!)  I had no dry towels left

in the house after draining the tank several times, but it was laundry day anyway!

 

I'm learning more and more maintenance things - and feeling pretty proud of myself!

Sorry I went MIA for a while - life got stressful and I went into hiding.  Nothing really serious, but an blow both to my ego and my emotions.  (Issues with the Boy Scout Troop I work with - which put me in a funk - probably a combination of that, COVID Fatigue, the state of the world, BLM, MeToo#, etc......)

On a much happier note - more evidence of Spring!  

Since our spring is very short lived in Shasta County, I try to appreciate every moment.  In the not too distant future, we'll be 100+ degrees.....

My neighbor's trees are in bloom!  Right after this, we got hit with some heavy rain, so I'm not expecting to see as many blooms when the storm passes...

I made a quick trip up to Susanville yesterday - I'd visited everyone else lately, but Dave!  It wasn't a long visit, but we took his dogs out for a walk on the river trail while I was there.

He and Marlette are still making wedding plans, but they hit another stumbling block (literally...)  Marlette was vacuuming Friday and wrapped herself up in the cord, tripped, and broke her foot.....

If you feed them, they will come!  I have birds at my bird feeder.  It didn't take them as long as I thought it would to find it, either.  This is truly a finished project now!
