Alex had a new project last weekend.  He's been collecting plushies of the character "Evie" (and all the evolutions) from the Pokémon series and recently found skateboards with them too.  So....he figured out how to display them, and "we" figured out how to make it happen.  (It's the little things that you don't notice - Ralph did all the handyman stuff that I didn't even think about.  I knew I needed to learn the big stuff - lawn mowing, pool maintenance, etc., but didn't realize I never used the power drill before....)  Not too bad a display job!!

Why I can't have nice things.....

I was trying to put a quilt top together, and decided to try putting it on the floor to view the placement of the blocks (not quite fitting on my design board on the wall) and I had 'help'....

First Luna  came to visit...

Then Ripley came to see what Luna found...

And since they were there....a tussle ensued....

And then Picot came to see what the fuss was all about....

I did get it put together though - in spite of all the 'help' I had.  I ran out of fabric - it needs a final white boarder put on it, so I hope to pick up that fabric today, along with a backing fabric, binding fabric and the batting to finish it.

When I parked to go to my nail appointment, I was immediately "attacked" by a blue bird!  I parked close to their nest, and he had a fight with himself in my mirror - too funny!  I didn't catch that on my video - I was trying to move slowly so I didn't frighten him.  Turns out I didn't have to worry about scaring him away - he attacks every car that pulls in, having learned that they all have a "blue bird in a box" on the side of the car...

I took the Mazda to Chico for some maintenance on Saturday, and took Meredith with me.  The original plan was to meet Veronica for lunch and shopping while the car was in the shop, but....it was just Meredith and I.  We did do lunch (Gnarly Deli - great food!!) and some shopping (A Bird in the Hand - really cute earrings!) but we had to do it on foot (which was not a bad thing - it sure beat sitting in the dealership!!!).  Meredith also introduced me to Geocaching, of which she's an avid fan.  It was fun, and I think it will a fun activity with friends, but it isn't something I'd do a lot of by myself.  My first find was right at the end of my subdivision, and the second find was at the rest area just north of Red Bluff.  I'll probably be more excited about the photo opportunities than actually finding the cache.....

Tacoma Loan Ops had a "Spring Fling" last week - complete with an egg hunt and a egg decorating competition.  Since my 'team' (I use that work loosely - only two people are direct reports to me anymore, and they probably will be reporting to someone else soon...) aren't in the Tacoma area for an egg hunt, and I didn't want to hide eggs all over the bank, when there's just 4 of people looking for them, I made them an Easter basket instead.....filled with candy and stuff.  I crocheted little bunnies too, and put a prize in each one for them (no need for the egg hunt then....)

 

And the garden is growing.....

 

I redid my bedroom a bit - new comforter (which goes with the quilt at the foot much better!) and added new pillows. The color of the pillows isn't exactly what I was looking for, but the texture made up for that - so soft!!!  And I love the embroidery on the center pillow....

 

And the seeds are coming up!!  I have peas, beans and zucchini popping up!
