The star jasmine is blooming - the whole back yard smells fabulous! Of course, it also growing everywhere, threatening to grow over/into the gate to the chicken pen, so it needs to be trimmed.

The garden is growing! My tomatoes still don't look happy, but the haven't died, so we'll see if they decide to pick up the pace now that it's getting warm (85 degrees here yesterday). This bed has peas in the front, beans in the back and cucumbers and zucchini in the middle.
These are my tomatoes - they just don't look happy....
These are peppers and some bush beans.

Check out the cute little mushroom I found while cleaning up the yard this weekend. I don't think I've even seen one like this - so cute!!!
I found the mushroom while digging out from the sycamore seeds and pollen that fell and then got rained on. This pile in front is (almost) all sycamore pollen and seeds - yuck! It was almost 2 inches thick in places on the driveway, and very heavy from all the rain. I tried blowing it off, but it wouldn't budge (too wet and heavy), leaving me to scrape and shovel it off the driveway.

The field is shifting from bright spring green toward summer brown. The California poppies are finishing up and the next set of flowers are blooming. I don't know what these are, but en masse and individually, they are beautiful.
These poppies are popping up too.

Another couple of blocks completed for one quilt, and the baby quilt is ready to sandwich up and quilt! I have one quilt on the Allegra to quilt, and have done a couple of rows of quilting on it. I just haven't taken the time to sit down and finish it. Deb J is down for the weekend, so not much quilting for me. We went to the Cruse for Kool April Nights Friday after work, and then to the car show on Saturday. Deb is a huge car buff (her standard around-town car is a '64 Buick) and she really enjoyed both the Cruse and the Show.

I made it back to Turtle Bay at night to see the lights! It was worth a second trip, though I kick myself for even going during the day at all, but...the entry cost can just be counted as a donation to Turtle Bay. I even picked up a new dragon for my collection!
This peacock had maintenance people working on it when AJ and I were there, so we didn't see it in action - beautiful!
And the dragon with the bridge behind it.
