Kendra's baby shower is in three weeks, and....I have one quilt almost finished, and the top done for the second one.  The first one is a simple panel, so didn't take long (though it did take two trips tot he store for fabric - I needed more than I thought.)

The second one has taken three trips to the store, and a complete re-do of the project.  I started with a whole different set of fabric strips (jelly rolls).  The first set was solid blues with a background fabric of white with grey dots, and I cut one set wrong, so needed another roll and background fabric, and.....I put them together wrong the second time (they didn't match the color sequencing for the first set) so....back to the store again, and....they were out of the background fabric.  Completely back to the drawing board!  New colors all around, and I was on my way.

Today was National Take Your Dog To Work Day and Koori was at my toes while I worked from home…

 

I went over to Randy and Laurie's on Monday- just to catch up, since I haven't seen them in a while, and to play with some babies....they have baby chicks and kittens!

This one almost followed me home, but I'm not quite ready for a new kitten.

 

One more project done!  Randy came over and got the pressure washer going for us, and AJ tested it out. 

The results are pretty visible!  You can see where he stopped.

 

There’s just something wrong with this much change in temperature in a few days! I’m scheduled to have Book Club here on Wednesday and the high is going to be 107?

We had Picot put down yesterday - the cancer got the best of her...rest in peace, my butt-head kitty...

 

I think I should have watered yesterday…..

 

I've been MIA lately - busy and not getting up in the morning with enough time to post before Alli is up.  The last couple of weekends were super busy - I hosted Emma's baby shower here on the 4th, so was on clean-up mode - yard looking good, house looking good, guest house cleaned out (we served the food where I usually have my work computer set up and a bunch of junk stored.)  I even cleaned up my pantry!!!  The before:
