Margene and I had a girl's weekend this weekend in Reno.  She had a couple of nights comp-ed rooms at the Silver Legacy, so we took off Friday morning....through the snow.

Highway 44 had ice and snow on it - not the best traveling conditions, but not the worst either.

Margene stopped at Hat Creek for me by the campgrounds so I could get some pictures.  It was worth getting my feet covered in snow!

We went to the comedy club Friday night (not bad.....) and to a concert (3 Doors Down - awesome!) on Saturday night.  We met up with Cindy for a day of shopping/lunch/talk in between.  It was fun, busy, and a bit expensive (I lost more than I won gambling, needless to say.)  But it was a great trip.  

Sorry there were no posts for so long - I got busy!  (And evidently decided to sleep those extra few minutes in the morning....)  

The escrow on Mom's house should have closed yesterday.  I didn't hear anything from Title, so I assume they didn't make it to the afternoon recording, so it will close today.  Any ending is sad, and this was harder than I thought it would be.  The house and property are going to a very nice man - he came out and visited with us while we were cleaning up.  It is still sad to see the house go, though.  Dave and his friends did the hauling of the junk to the dump - Jeff, Kirby, and I sorted, loaded, cleaned etc. Between us, we got everything cleaned out in one day!  (That, and the buyer was okay keeping some of the stuff....)

We were terribly dull this year.  On New Year's Eve, I went to bed at 9:15, and left Ralph watching TV.  He did stay up to midnight at least......I did get some New Year's photos from Alex.  They are at his host dad's family for New Years,m and they made an igloo and wen sledding.  I think he needs a bigger igloo......
